Progression in Ballet:
- Level I dancers focus on fundamental positions, proper posture, and foundational movements at the barre and in the center. The goal is to build a correct and safe technical base.
- Level II dancers advance to more complex combinations, intricate footwork, and developing performance quality. This level challenges their strength and coordination.

Progression in Jazz & Contemporary:
- Level I dancers learn foundational jazz techniques, including basic turns, leaps, and progressions. The focus is on understanding rhythm and building coordination.

Safely Building Strength In Acro And Tumbling
Acro and Power Tumbling are where dancers become powerful athletes. Following a certified curriculum, our instructors teach acrobatic and tumbling skills with an unwavering focus on safety and proper progression. Each athlete develops incredible strength, flexibility, and body awareness.
Progression in Acro & Power Tumbling:
- Level I athletes master fundamental skills such as bridges, cartwheels, and handstands. The priority is building the core strength and flexibility needed for safe advancement.
- Level II athletes progress to more complex skills, including walkovers, aerials, and advanced tumbling passes, always guided by a structured and safe curriculum.
Our 1-hour Acro and Tumbling classes develop:

Adding Musicality With Hip Hop And Tap

We specialize in placing students in an environment where they feel comfortable and confident. We frequently create beginner classes specifically for older students (ages 9-12) so they can learn foundational technique with their peers. Our individualized placement process ensures your child is matched with the perfect class for their age and skill level.
Our expert instructors assess experienced dancers to place them appropriately. We evaluate their technical proficiency, maturity, and mastery of skills to determine if Level I or Level II is the best fit. Our goal is to ensure your dancer is in a class that will challenge them, refine their technique, and help them grow.
While any Level I class is great for beginners, we highly recommend Ballet. It is the foundation of all dance styles and teaches the core strength, discipline, and body awareness essential for success in Jazz, Contemporary, and Acro. For a high-energy start, Hip Hop or Jazz are also excellent choices.
We do have a dress code for our Academy classes. Proper attire and shoes are required to ensure our instructors can see a dancer's alignment and technique for safe and effective training. You can find detailed dress code information on our studio policies page or by contacting our office.
The Academy is a technique-focused program designed to build strong, versatile dancers, whether their goal is recreational or pre-professional. The skills learned provide the solid foundation required for students who may wish to audition for our competitive teams in the future, but there is no requirement to compete.
