FAQs & Dress Code
Welcome to Legacy Dance & Athletics. This page provides clear answers to our most frequently asked questions and outlines our studio’s dress code. Our goal is to ensure every family feels informed and prepared. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please don’t hesitate to contact our studio for more information.
Our main season follows a traditional school year, running from August through May.
Yes. Legacy Dance & Athletics observes all major public school holidays. If local public schools are closed for a holiday, our studio will be closed as well.
We accept new students in our non-performance classes year-round, subject to availability. For classes that participate in our year-end recital, registration closes in December to ensure students are fully prepared for their performances. Please contact us for current class availability.
While our spacious classrooms can comfortably accommodate up to 15 students, we prefer to keep class sizes smaller. We typically cap our classes at 10-12 students to ensure each dancer receives personalized attention and high-quality instruction.
Yes, we have a traveling competition team that performs at events during the spring. Tryouts for the team are held each summer. For more information about team requirements and audition dates, please email us directly.
In addition to monthly tuition, families can expect a recital costume fee ranging from $90-$100 per class, and a year-end recital fee of $120. To help offset these costs, we offer optional fundraising opportunities, including a fall fundraiser for costumes and the option for students to sell program ads to cover their recital fee.
Proper attire is essential for safety and technique. This season, we are implementing a studio-wide dress code effective August 2026. Please see our detailed Dress Code section below for specific requirements for each class style.
