This shared journey requires a positive attitude, consistent effort, and a supportive family environment to ensure every dancer, and the team as a whole, can truly flourish.
Our Company Structure
Thoughtful Placement for Every Dancer
To foster a productive and positive environment, we place dancers in groups where they can build strong connections and grow together. Our structure is designed to provide the right level of challenge and support at each stage of a young artist’s journey. The LDA Company is organized into three primary levels:
- Minis: Our youngest competitors, where the focus is on building a strong technical foundation, learning performance skills, and discovering the joy of being on a team.
- Juniors: This level challenges dancers to expand on their technique and artistry, tackling more complex choreography and taking on greater personal responsibility.
- Teens: Our most advanced dancers refine their skills, explore their unique artistic voices, and serve as role models, demonstrating leadership and polished professionalism.
A Versatile Competitive Curriculum
Core Training in Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary
Our curriculum is built around creating well-rounded, adaptable, and emotionally expressive dancers. We focus primarily on jazz, lyrical, and contemporary styles, as they provide a powerful foundation in technique, control, and storytelling. This core training ensures our dancers are versatile and prepared for any choreographic challenge. To further enhance their skills and showcase their diverse talents, dancers may also have opportunities to train and compete in other disciplines, including high-energy hip hop, intricate tap, and powerful acro.
The Competitive Season and Training Schedule
Dedicated Training for Powerful Performances
The LDA Company is an accelerated program that requires a consistent investment of time and energy. Dancers are required to attend a minimum of 4 hours of class per week, ensuring they develop the strength, flexibility, and technical precision needed to perform safely and confidently. Our season includes 4 mandatory competitions, which are carefully selected to provide a positive and professional performance experience. Travel and overnight stays are a required and exciting part of the season, offering invaluable opportunities for team bonding and creating lifelong memories.
